Great Boot, Bad Traction, 12th Apr 2018

Reviewer: James Archibald

Recently picked these boots up along with 20 starbite and 20 single carbide studs for them. They are easily the most comfortable wading boot Ive ever used. Ankle support is excellent with them and they're very well built.

The traction with them however is terrible. The Simms studs I bought for them sit inside the sole so much that they barely protrude to grab rocks. I shimmed them out using small washers underneath just to get them sticking out.

I have maybe 5 hours of wading time on them and half of the studs have almost no carbide left on them.

I'll likely be going back to felt next time around.
