I bought this rod as my first euro rod.
Being my first time euro fishing ever. It’s amazing & I’m hooked
I picked the 4wt as I have big rivers & big fish in Ontario. I already landed 4 steelhead (1 was 8lbs) & got my first brown (15”) of year and over 60 (12”) rainbow trout. The rod is sensitive & light and throws small flies & large with enough backbone to muscle with steelhead. This will not be my last euro rod.

Great versatile rod. Sensitive tip and throws drys well., 29th Jul 2018

Hi I bought this rod to fish my local small river/creek. It is 7-9ft wide very tight and and full of pocket water and deep pools under cedars. Most of the fish are small, hand sized rainbows or browns.
I was previously using a 7ft 4wt but wanted to try reach instead of a shorter more maneuverable rod.
This rod is great for reaching over pockets and seams to get a drag free drift with a dry, it also throw dries long distances with reasonable accuracy, has a sensitive tip that is good for tight line nymphing deep pools or when swinging downstream and across. I also found the extra length useful with an indicator to help keep fly line off the water.
The tip is sensitive so you feel subtle takes and will bend to keep smaller fish on the line. The lower part of the rod is sturdy in case you get into something real.
I have only fished this rod three times so you could say I’m still in the honeymoon phase. The reason for only 4 stars is my lack of a track record. I like to see how gear lasts and can’t comment on the durability at this point.
However with this level of versatility I can see it becoming my go to option no matter where I fish.
Although designed for tight line nymphing this rod has the ability to do much more.
I recommend this rod.
