Costa de Cocos Lodge has been owned and operated by David Randall for the last 30 years. The lodge is located in Xcalak, Mexico, the southernmost village on the point of the Yucatan Peninsula, just 13 kilometres (8 miles) north of the Belizean border and can accommodate a maximum of 14 fishing guests. Each thatched roof cabana has a Caribbean view and features two queen beds, ceiling fans and an attached bathroom. The onsite restaurant offers a variety of delicious meals and the inclusive bar is fully stocked.

This inshore fishery for bonefish, permit and tarpon consists of over 35 kilometres (22 miles) within the Xcalak Reef National Marine Park protected waters in front of the lodge and more than 30 flats in Chetumal Bay behind the village. Accompanied by the lodge’s well-trained guides and comfortably set up 23-foot fishing pangas, you will spend your days exploring this incredibly diverse and relatively lightly fished location. This is definitely one of those locations where you have a legitimate shot at a coveted Grand Slam!

Costa de Cocos also offers diving, snorkeling and kayaks, among other non-fishing activities. Please contact us to discuss non-fishing activities and let us know what you are interested in exploring.
