Spend a full day learning the art of fly fishing under the guidance of experienced and certified instructors, with over forty years combined experience. One day fishing clinics are broken into a comfortable mixture of personalized casting instruction, classroom tackle and strategy lecture sessions.

All equipment is supplied, we feel that it is important that you get the correct rod for your angling situation. You will get the opportunity to cast different models and lengths of rods, which will make your eventual decision much easier. Payment due upon registration.

Our one day on-stream Intermediate school takes you beyond the basics. If you are talking to your friends, watching videos, reading books and fishing all you can, and still not catching as many fish as you’d like, this school is for you. Have an expert instructor at your side while you wade the Bow at our private access. Enjoy a hearty lunch, on the banks of the Bow, while comparing tips and techniques. This course can save almost any angler years of unnecessary frustration.
You will receive individual instruction about equipment set-up, knots, leaders, casting, surface and sub-surface presentations, line control, reading the water, entomology, fly patterns, trout behavior and strategy.
Students will be required to supply their own gear, and the class is limited to 5 students (2 instructors)

Overwhelmed with where to start , or having difficulty learning the art of fly tying? Our beginner fly tying course will get you started in the right direction and get you tying and creating flies as smoothly as possible! The schools cover the breakdown of a hook, all the different parts of a fly, all your basic tying techniques needed, the wide variety of tools needed, and just as important, the materials needed.
The flies we choose to tie during the school covers two important features; 1) they must be effective and, 2) cover at least one or more fly tying techniques. We will start with the most basic techniques and flies, and move forward from there making the process as smooth as possible..

The intermediate fly tying school is the next step after the beginner school. With more techniques and imaginative uses of materials it will quickly boost you fly tying ability and creativity.
Classes will be held at the shop in the evening and coffee will be served.
